Dear Mother: I received Anna's letter and yours also so will answer with a card to-night as this is the first of the year. News are kind of scarce. We are still cleaning up around the mill and no idea when we will be leaving this camp. I am sorry to hear that you are not feeling well. Hope you are well again by this time. Every body gets his fare paid to where ever he came from so do not worry yourself about that besides I can pay my fare myself to any where in the U.S. if I would have to. I have enough. Do not think about that. Rec'd a long letter from Sis-in-Law Mary Will write a letter soon. Wishing you and all A Happy New Year. Loving Son John.

Dear Sis Anna, 2/2/19 Received your card yesterday and was glad to hear you are feeling better. I have been writing to you folks every few days. The mail did not go through regular as the trains have been snowed in several days in Nebraska. To-day is the first cool day I have seen since I came to Colo. From Ore. Loving Bro. John
