Frances from John

Dear Mother:  I received Anna's letter and yours also so will answer with a card to-night as this is the first of the year. News are kind of scarce.  We are still cleaning up around the mill and no idea when we will be leaving this camp.  I am sorry to hear that you are not feeling well.  Hope you are well again by this time.  Every body gets his fare paid to where ever he came from so do not worry yourself about that besides I can pay my fare myself to any where in the U.S. if I would have to.  I have enough.  Do not think about that.  Rec'd a long letter from Sis-in-Law Mary  Will write a letter soon.  Wishing you and all A Happy New Year.  Loving Son John.
