Dear Mother Rec'd your letter but have not much to write so this care will do for this time. I will send that paper back to you next time I write you a letter and that picture I did get and give my thanks to Aunt Bartos for thinking of me. Have nothing new to write only I am working nights - changed yesterday will work for a month nights it was kind of warm when we worked daytime but it's fine and cool there nights I like the work pretty good small pay but I don't want to wrk har could have got more but harder work so rather took an easier job. just not to be idle and have a good place for winter With best wishes to you and all at ahome Don't forget JQ and Aunt and Uncle Joe Bartos if you see them. Monday 15-13 Dear Mother. Recd your letter sometime ago did not answer sooner as wrote all the news in Annie's letter. Had been feeling pretty good for a couple of days but today I fell kind of bummy think I will lay off if I do not feel better tonight for a couple of days. The weather is kind of warm all the time today it loos like more snow. got the paper I sent you a copy of the Longmot paper did you get it? About the sorm. June 7 - 16 Dear Sis Anna: Just a card to let you know I am well and hope this finds you all the same. I am working yet at the same place. The weather is nice though kind of cool. I sent a little present to W. Chan and M. Kalina's I hope it reaches before Monday. If not if you folks go home or who ever will go to feed at J. Dear John I got the letter yesterday and I just send this card as Annie is telling you all the news so I will just let you know how the weather is now Sunday evening we got a little rain and it turned cold enough to the stove and it is windy. I wish you well on your Birthday

Dear Mother A few lines to let you know I am in Denver I received your letter and was glad to hear that you are all well. But I am sorry to hear about Bro. Fr. It seems as he may not have very good luck but I hope that he does well. I don't think he can do much work now as the weather must be bad according to the papers up North. Am feeling well. The notation on the back says: "Taken at Camp 5 Fr Newport Ore.
Brother John was called to service for WWI though he did not serve overseas. From this and other cards, I surmise that his training was in Oregon. I am guessing that 5 Fr may mean 5 friends.
Did you get my letter before Xmas This is a picture when we were on a Jack Rabbit hunting trip. We had no luck that day Picture of myself.
Hello Sport. Well here I am with my fur skins(?) as I told you I would I am staying with Mark and today I am going to Red Wing and from 
there to Montgomery Martin is not married yet but I think it wont take long that he will be I see his girl and took her and Martin to a show Look for me Saturday

Dear Mother: I received Anna's letter and yours also so will answer with a card to-night as this is the first of the year. News are kind of scarce. We are still cleaning up around the mill and no idea when we will be leaving this camp. I am sorry to hear that you are not feeling well. Hope you are well again by this time. Every body gets his fare paid to where ever he came from so do not worry yourself about that besides I can pay my fare myself to any where in the U.S. if I would have to. I have enough. Reno Minn Dec 26, 1914 Dear John we got your letter and card and the package yesterday just in time to devide it to all. We all thank you for everything you sent some bad news to tell you Aunt Mike Bisek is dead, she died Christmas eve. the funeral is today so I must hurry and go it is a snow storm today Mother.
Dear Mother: The flowers are on the way and here's hoping they reach you in time for Easter and in good shape. They are the only flower that will stand shipping so far so I did not send any others.
Hello Wensel How is every thing? and how are you getting along. Working, as you have all kinds of work I suppose now days. Are you through hauling wood. I am not working any myself yet but I guess there will be some work soon. Just now there is not work to be had. The weather is mostly warm to night it snowed a little but it is not cold at all. Bro.
